In the evening we’ll all meet at a rooftop restaurant for our welcome dinner. We’ll get to know each other over some traditional Moroccan food, and settle in with your travel family for the next few days!
Our first full day in Morocco will be spent exploring the cultural highlights of the city. After breakfast, we’ll head out to Ben Youssef Madrasa, a spectacular 16th century Islamic college and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon we will gather for a traditional Moroccan cooking class with a local family, the perfect way to try some new dishes!
Today we set off towards High Atlas Mountains. The journey itself is a highlight, with winding mountain roads, panoramic viewpoints, and traditional Berber villages along the way.
En route, we’ll stop at the iconic Aït Benhaddou for a guided visit. This ancient fortified village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a fascinating glimpse into traditional earthen architecture and is a favourite backdrop for films and photography.
In the afternoon, we continue on to Ouarzazate, where we’ll visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah as well as the city’s famous film studios, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa,” before settling in for the evening.
Today we begin our route towards the Merzouga Desert, with scenic stops along the way. First up, the “Valley of Roses,” where we’ll explore local rose products and perfumes.
Enjoy lunch at the stunning Todra Gorge, the perfect spot to stretch our legs with a short walk surrounded by towering canyon walls.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga. Here, you’ll experience either a 4×4 transfer or a camel caravan crossing the dunes at sunset, with the option to try sandboarding on the golden sands.
As night falls, we settle into a traditional desert camp in the Sahara, enjoying a Moroccan dinner under the stars, accompanied by Berber music.
We start the day with an early sunrise over the dunes of the Merzouga Desert, before departing towards Fes.
Pick the window seat because the views across the Atlas Mountains will be spectacular!
Along the way, we pause in Midelt for a relaxing break surrounded by mountain views, before continuing to Ifrane, often referred to as “Little Switzerland” for its alpine-style architecture and cool, green surroundings.
We also pass through the cedar forests near Azrou Cedar Forests, where there is a chance to spot wild Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.
Today begins with a half-day guided cultural exploration of the historic city of Fes. We’ll visit the renowned University of Al Quaraouiyine, a landmark of Islamic learning and one of the world’s oldest universities. Our guided tour continues through the famous tanneries of Fes, where traditional leather-making techniques are still practiced today, offering a vivid glimpse into the city’s artisanal heritage.
Next we’ll visit the bustling artisan quarters of the ancient medina, where craftspeople continue centuries-old traditions in weaving, metalwork, and wood carving.
After lunch, we depart Fes and travel toward Chefchaouen, nestled in the scenic Rif Mountains.
This morning we begin with a walking tour through the enchanting blue streets of Chefchaouen. We’ll explore the charming Plaza Uta el-Hammam and the historic Kasbah Museum of Chefchaouen, discovering the town’s unique blend of Andalusian and Moroccan influences.
In the afternoon, we set out on a scenic hike to the Spanish Mosque. From here, you’ll enjoy panoramic sunset views over the blue-washed medina and surrounding Rif Mountains.
Later in the day, we depart Chefchaouen and travel towards our last stop, Rabat!

Dinners and lunches in general are not included, and you will also need spending money for souvenirs, gifts, and activities during our free day in Mirissa.

On the last day we will arrange shuttles back to the airport for the morning, and again we will do our best to align these with the flights the group have booked.
