Japan Adventure

The ultimate Japan Adventure – exploring Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima an Osaka. This tour has everything you need for your first trip to Japan, including some classic must do’s, as well as some local recommendations. We’ll have the perfect mix of history, culture, food, nature, and we’ll be sure to make time for some sake’s and Karaoke along the way.

Day 1 – Welcome to Tokyo!

Arrive in Tokyo, the bustling capital of Japan. Meet your driver for a shared transfer to our hotel in Asakusa —one of Tokyo’s most iconic old town areas. Check into your room, settle in, and take some time to explore the busy Nakamise shopping street, or stroll along the Sumida river.

In the evening, the adventure begins! Meet your group for a casual welcome dinner to meet our guide and go over the adventure ahead – Yokoso!

Day 2 – Nikko Shrines and Nature Tour

Today we’re going to escape the city and dive into Nikko’s fresh air and lush scenery. Visit the iconic Toshogu Shrine where you can see the iconic Three Wise Monkeys, feel the power of the epic Kegon Falls, stroll the Kanmangafuchi Abyss, and take in the calm beauty of Lake Chuzenji. Our local guide will be with us throughout the day to answer any of your questions. Expect stunning views, rich history, and a whole lot of “wow” moments.

  Day 3 – Best of Tokyo in a Day Walking Tour

Kick off your Tokyo adventure with a greatest-hits tour of the city. Start at Tokyo Station and wander through the Imperial Palace gardens, snapping a pic at the famous Nijubashi Bridge. Then jump on the metro to Asakusa, where Senso-ji’s bright red gates, incense clouds, and the snack-filled Nakamise Street bring old Tokyo to life.

Next up: a dose of calm at Meiji Shrine, tucked inside a peaceful forest right in the middle of the city. From there, dive into Harajuku’s colorful chaos—cosplay, wild fashion, and all the quirky finds you can imagine. Finish strong at the legendary Shibuya Crossing, where you’ll join the organized scramble like a true local.

With a fun, small-group vibe and an expert guide, this day packs in Tokyo’s history, style, and unforgettable energy. Perfect for first-timers who want a little everything, everywhere, all in one day.

Day 4 – Mount Fuji & Lake Kawaguchi Tour

Spend the day exploring Japan’s most iconic mountain from every angle. Start at Oishi Park, where bright flowers and a wide-open view of Lake Kawaguchi make the perfect Fuji backdrop. Stop by Arakura-Fuji Sengen Shrine to see the famous red pagoda with Fuji rising behind it—one of the most photographed scenes in Japan.

You’ll also wander the peaceful village of Oshino Hakkai, known for its crystal-clear spring ponds fed by Fuji’s melted snow. Expect a mix of stunning viewpoints, fresh nature, and a relaxed look at life around Japan’s most beloved mountain

 

Day 5 – Free Time & TeamLab Planets

Enjoy a relaxed day to explore Tokyo at your own pace—wander quirky neighborhoods, snack your way through local streets, or squeeze in some shopping. In the afternoon or evening, step into the surreal world of teamLab Planets, where you’ll wade through water, walk inside digital art, and feel like you’ve dropped into another dimension. It’s immersive, dreamy, and one of Tokyo’s coolest experiences—an unforgettable highlight to cap off a free day in the city.

Day 6 – Bullet Train to Kyoto and Gion Walking Tour

Start the day with a ride on Japan’s famous bullet train, the Shinkansen, speeding from Tokyo to Kyoto in just a few hours. Relax in comfort as the cityscape blurs by and the countryside unfolds outside your window—a quick, scenic journey that’s iconic in itself and the perfect way to kick off your Kyoto adventure.

In the afternoon, Step into Kyoto’s fascinating geisha culture with a knowledgeable local guide. Wander serene streets and charming neighborhoods for an authentic glimpse of daily life. Explore the atmospheric Gion Shirakawa, the lantern-lit alleys of Pontocho, and the iconic Yasaka Shrine, making for a truly memorable Kyoto experience.

 

Day 7 – Full Day Kyoto Tour

Spend the day exploring some of Kyoto’s most iconic spots. Start at Fushimi Inari Shrine, walking the famous path lined with thousands of bright red torii gates—perfect for photos and a sense of adventure. Head to Kinkakuji Temple, the Golden Pavilion, and take in its reflection on the calm pond while wandering the surrounding gardens. Visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple, perched on a hillside, and enjoy sweeping views over the city along with a glimpse into traditional temple life. End the day at Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, where the towering bamboo and soft rustle of leaves make for a peaceful, almost otherworldly walk. This mix of history, culture, and serene nature gives a well-rounded taste of Kyoto’s charm.

 Day 8 – Travel to Hirsohima and City Tour 

In the morning we’ll be saying goodbye to Kyoto and jumping on a bullet train to Hiroshima. Here, we will spend the day exploring one of Japan’s most meaningful and reflective sites. Walk through Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, where quiet pathways, memorials, and the iconic Atomic Bomb Dome tell the story of the city’s past. Take your time in the Peace Memorial Museum, which offers a powerful and thoughtful look into the events of the Pacific War and Hiroshima’s journey toward peace. It’s a day that’s moving, insightful, and an important part of understanding Japan’s modern history.

Day 9 – Miyajima Day Tour

In the morning, you’ll be picked up from the hotel and driven to the port to catch the ferry across to Miyajima Island. Once you arrive, explore the island’s timeless charm—ancient temples tucked into the forest, friendly free-roaming deer, and coastal views that look straight out of a postcard. Don’t miss Itsukushima Shrine’s famous floating torii gate, rising from the Seto Inland Sea and shifting with the tides. It’s one of Japan’s most iconic sights and the perfect backdrop for a relaxed day of wandering and discovering Miyajima’s natural beauty.

Day 10 –  Travel to Osaka and Free Afternoon

Kick off the morning with a smooth ride on the bullet train from Hiroshima to Osaka, watching the scenery glide by as you zip into one of Japan’s liveliest cities. Once you arrive, enjoy a free day to explore Osaka at your own pace. Wander through Dotonbori for neon lights and street food, check out Shinsekai for retro vibes, or dive into Umeda for shopping and city views. If you’re in the mood for something unique, visit the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, relax in Nakanoshima Park, or explore the creative side of the city in Amerikamura. It’s the perfect day to soak up Osaka’s fun, energetic atmosphere.

 
 

Day 11 – Osaka Walking Tour

Today we will head out on an Osaka walking tour to explore its mix of history and modern energy. Visit Osaka Castle, a 16th-century landmark surrounded by wide moats and parkland. Wander through the lively Kuromon Ichiba Market, where stalls are packed with fresh seafood, street snacks, and local treats. Then continue through the city to see some of Osaka’s classic sights, including the retro charm of Tsutenkaku. A perfect blend of culture, food, and urban adventure.

Day 12 – Chilled Checkout

It’s the final morning of the trip—time to check out, pack up those last souvenirs, and say your “さようなら (sayōnara)” to new friends who started the week as strangers. An airport shuttle will pick everyone up and take you to Osaka Airport, making the journey home smooth and easy. One last ride together to wrap up an unforgettable adventure in Japan.
